BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT & SERVICES

Here to help however you feed

We know there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to feeding.
Every baby, every parent, every journey is unique — and we’re here to support you however you choose to feed.

When it comes to babies, breastfeeding is considered the gold standard — it’s packed with everything your little one needs to grow and thrive. Breastmilk is incredible. And so are the women and families who give it.

As mums ourselves, we get that breastfeeding doesn’t always go to plan. Sometimes it’s not possible, sometimes it’s not sustainable, and sometimes it’s just not the right fit for you or your baby. Many parents — us included — have been there, and that’s why having safe alternatives matters.

BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT & SERVICES

Eating well during pregnancy and while breastfeeding can help with milk supply and give you the energy you need, but we also know it’s not always that simple. If you make the tough decision not to breastfeed, or wish to introduce bottle feeding exclusively, or as a supplementary form of nourishment, we recommend you seek advice from your midwife or health care professional for individual advice for your baby.  Just keep in mind that once breast milk supply drops, it can be hard to build it back up again. There can also be some lifestyle and financial changes that come with switching to formula.

If you do choose a breast milk alternative, always follow the preparation instructions as directed. Babies have delicate little tummies, so where you can, introduce formula gradually. The transition guide included on our page can help with this. We encourage you to thoroughly research your options before making the decision to replace breastmilk with formula.

At mumamoo, our purpose is to provide a trusted alternative form of nourishment for babies and toddlers. But more than that, we understand the pressure, the questions and sometimes the guilt that can come with feeding decisions. Please know — you’re doing your best, and that is more than enough.
